Analog unit isn't as precise, but you don't have to reprogram it when the power is cut and then restored. Also no real wiring to undertake, you just run the probe and plug the controller into the wall and then plug the refrigerator, after setting to max cooling, into the back of the controller plug. The Ranco is accurate to within about 1 degree, far more than necessary for storing cigars, and requires basic wiring skills to hook up. It also would have to be reprogrammed after a power outage. I can look up the model numbers for you later if you are interested. |
