Re: Share your drink recipes

:r

Yeah, I used to think I was a martini fan, but then I realized the less vermouth I had in it the better I liked it. Now I skip the vermouth completely. And use freezer-chilled gin. YUM! Of...

Re: Scotch Tasting

Nice! I have a Signatory bottling of Highland Park from 1992 and it is outstanding. I'm definitely no Scotch expert but it is the best I've had. Sounds like a lot of fun!

Re: Gift from Co-worker...

A nice change of pace from all the glass-top Cohibo threads. That was very nice of her.

Re: Madeira - No. 1 Drink for Cigars

Alright I am intrigued. My local Bevmo has the Broadbent 10 yr and Blandy's 10 yr. I think I will have to check it out. Thanks for the info!

Re: Madeira - No. 1 Drink for Cigars

No experience with Madeiras personally, so maybe someone else can chime in here with better advice, but Bevmo has a few madeiras.

Re: Cigar and a Movie!!!

I don't have a mancave but I have a great view of my plasma from my patio. I bought one of those wireless speakers from Brookstone and voila! Poor man's mancave. I have watched movies but mostly...

Re: Little embarassed...

For me, doing the nose exhale is EXACTLY the same as a regular exhale I just close my mouth. Try exhaling half the smoke out of your mouth then close your mouth without changing anything else. You...

Re: let it die vs. HELL NO, YOU KNOW HOW MUCH IT W

It is a cliche of course, but one I've slowly come to live by:

Life's too short for bad cigars.

I don't get to smoke but a few times a week so I am not letting a bad cigar ruin my precious...

Re: Arrrgh..California Cigar Prices...

Yeah, I feel bad that I don't support many B&M's here but the prices are just insane. I just can't bring myself to do it. It's kind of like going to Staples Center and paying $10 for a beer....

Re: Question about storage in a vino

To me, I would only be concerned if you have boxes right up against the Vino fan and block the air too much. This could possibly burn out the fan or the box could absorb any condensation. My Vino is...

Re: Question about storage in a vino

Oust fans run on batteries. That is why they are so popular.

I bought Oust fans a while ago but I don't use them in my Vino. The Vino fan runs enough here in hot SoCal that there is enough air...

Re: Victory Smoke.....

Yeah, most of the teams may be in the US, but last I checked the players were from all over the world. The best players in the world. That makes it a world championship to me...

And back on topic:...

Re: Storing Glass Tubes

Agreed. Unless it had something like those pop tops that most jars of food have, there's no telling how the seal is. If it's for more than a few days I'd throw it in the humi.

Re: Temp question "vino-type" set up

I don't have a haier but 64 is what I set my Vino at. Works like a charm!

Re: Fantasy Hockey 08-09

Dammit I dropped the wrong player! I picked up Pascal Dupuis and dropped Zubrus. Then I meant to drop Arnason for Versteeg but dropped Dupuis instead. I guess you can tell who I had on my mind. :)...

Re: Fantasy Hockey 08-09

I've been a fantasy hockey commissioner many times and this is always a complaint. I'm in a league with only 11 managers and only two starting goalie spots and it still is a complaint. But everyone...
