for car guys out there.
I got my car dyno tuned yesterday. She threw down:
286 hp / 310 tq naturally aspirated 387 hp / 460 tq on a 100 shot of nitrous. Let me know if you can tell when the nitrous kicks in.

Re: for car guys out there.
no kidding. i am in love with the car again. it has had a bad tune for about a year and a half now. it drives better than it did when it came off the lot with the new tune.

Great numbers, dude! What year is that? I can't really see -- looks like a 99-04?
387 rwhp out of a GT's 4.6 is very impressive (and getting close to blowing it up, btw, unless you've done some major work to the internals.) You're right up there with my 03 Cobra. (396rwhp) And your 460 torque is CRAZY!

400-450 is when they tend to go boom, but normally when they don't ahve a safe tune. this one is very safe. an engine build will be in the future though

Re: for car guys out there.
Not bad at all for a 4.6 2 valve!
Yea you can hear the n20 pretty easy. Don't build the motor swap for an LS1 lol. |

Re: for car guys out there.
Nice brother! I have an 03' that I just finally finished. Forged bottom end, head and cam work and a D1SC ProCharger. I was just starting to break her in when it started to snow here in Cleveland.
Break-in tune will only let her build to a whopping one lb. of boost for now. Looking to put down over 500 rwhp/tq, when all is said and done. Good luck and congrats, smoke one of your better sticks to celebrate. |

Re: for car guys out there.
Do you happen to have a link to the dyno sheet?
I would love to own an 03-04 Cobra. I was looking for an engine from a wreaked one to put into my '90 Tbird SuperCoupe, but for the price I could build something much better. |

Re: for car guys out there.
Oh, I know all about the internals of this machine. What you have to worry about is the connecting rods for the pistons.
The next step for the car is to stroke the block out to a 5.0, put 4V heads on it and up the shot to a 200 shot. Forged 11.5 to 1 pistons, forged h beams and cobra crank. I am looking for 400 hp na and close to 650 on the juice

I'm waiting on an aftermarket version of the ZR1s Eaton 4-lobe - that might just sway my opinion on modding the car hard! I have twin 3 year olds and bought a 2 seater - F practical, you only live once. |
