Blind Taste Test
How does everyone feel about a blind taste test? Here is what I was thinking…
• 10 people, matched at random • Must have 75 posts and 3 trades • You send 5 unmarked cigars, must be sent 3 business days after list is final (post DCs) • There is no price limit on the cigars you send, just send decent smokes that you enjoy or smoke, no dog rockets • You have three weeks to smoke the cigars and post a review to this thread • Have fun • Communicate if you have a problem Let's get it on... 1. Re: Blind Taste Test
I would to try something like this.
But unfortunately my job as a truck driver would make things much too difficult for me to participate. |

I'm nuts for the place

Re: Blind Taste Test
Sounds like fun. Would love to play but sadly with my schedule and this time of year getting to sit with all 5 and pay close attention to them in three weeks would be next to impossible. Lately, most of my smoking gets done in the car.

Re: Blind Taste Test
I would be interested possibly, but for a few reasons.
1- Is this open to Canadians 2- Being Canadian, it's likely too cold for me to do that many cigars. Warmer months would be better for something like this. 3- I don't have enough posts and trader feedback on this forum. (if combined with another forum, I come close). I think it's a good idea and would be an interesting read for those that don't participate as well as those that do. If you don't get enough participants, maybe try again later.

Re: Blind Taste Test
Actually, after looking at the posts on this thread that CMS posted
http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=927 I feel like my palate isn't developed enough to give the type of reviews that I've seen. Might be a good idea to do one of these for newbs or slightly more experienced, but without the pressure of sophisticated reviews. Also limiting the sticks to 3, just so we can get our feet wet. And have a more or less price on each stick based on best selling prices online. I'm all new to this, but I'm not sure how this impacts us Canadian members with the cross border shipping and all. The idea fascinates me though.

Re: Blind Taste Test
Hmmm... should have probably just read that one first.
Looks like the other btt thread has this subject covered. If this still happens, and you are really hurting for someone, then I'll join back in, but consider me out for now. Sorry. 1. SmokinApe 2. Mr Edmundo |
