Davidoff
What's the deal with Davidoff cigars? They are expensive and I haven't seen too much about them on here. Any of you guys try them?

Re: Davidoff
I have tried several of them and they are good but not great in my opinion. There are many that are comparable in all price ranges from Padron to Tatuaje to LFD and more.

Re: Davidoff
Like Michael said, good but not great. I bet it would get lost in a 5-cigar blind taste test.

Re: Davidoff
I personally like some of their lines....particularly the 2000, 3000, and Gran Cru Series. With some age, they can be quite good, but unfortunately they rarely fit the budget. For the same amount of money, I can buy a decent box of CCs or higher end NC.

This. I've had a couple and enjoyed them, but never been blown away by them. And for the price I expect to be wowed. If I'm going to drop that kind of cash on one smoke I'd much rather have an Ashton ESG or high-end Padron.

Different cigars, like you don't know that.

Re: Davidoff
I think the ones from the Davidoff - the company that makes cigars in the D.R. - are too expensive for what you get. I would rather spend the money on a wide variety of other cigars.

Re: Davidoff
They are excellent cigars. They're refined, ready to smoke when sold, but not in your face or overly robust. Classy smoke, but cost all the money. Would enjoy one any time.
Try a Gran Cru series cigar in your favorite size to see and report back!

Another thing about Davidoff, as well with AVO's (which are my favorite non cubans) and are in the same family as Davidoff. Their quality control is of the highest standard and I have never had a plugged or bad burn problems flawless draws every time!

Re: Davidoff
I do agree with this their QC is second to none. I just think for the money imo they should have a better or stronger (neither word seems right) flavor profile. I feel this way about some CC's as well as some of the Opus X line too. Maybe I am just too hard to please.
