How Slippery the Slope
Last night I decided to take a inventory of my cigars and I was really surprised by how many sticks I have right now. I joined this fine forum back in early May with a desktop humidor that averaged about 15-20 sticks at any given time. Now my desktop humidor is full and I have about 150 sticks in my cooler. This has really been the summer of cigars for me and I love it!

Re: How Slippery the Slope
I can totally relate. I joined in 2010 and had around 75 cigars. Now I'm up to around 3,000 . Slippery slope indeed.

When I joined, I had one 100-count desktop.
Now I have 3 igloos, a wineador, and 4 desktops. (Weeps silently)

Re: How Slippery the Slope
Oh yes, I can remember the day when I got my first 50 count. Told the wife this was going to be plenty as why would I need more than 50 cigars at a time? I was so proud. Then got a 150 cause it was overflowing. Then the 300 showed up. Now 2 large airtight totes stuffed and just recently fell deeeeeep into the dark side so yet another tote for long term naps is on the way. Lucky I am still married...

Re: How Slippery the Slope
The dark side ain't no slope. That b*tch is a straight drop. Free Fallin, as Mr. Petty would say.
Lesson 1: always buy boxes. Who really buys singles anyway? Lesson 2: boxes shouldn't travel alone. 1 box for aging, 1 box for smoking, right? Nope. One box for smoking, and 3+ boxes for aging. Lesson 3: when you find a cc you REALLY like, buy boxes no matter if you're close to out or not. You never know when HSA is gonna pull the rug out from under your favorite vitola/marca. Lesson 4: NEVER look at receipts. Just let yourself be happy with all those cigars aging nicely in the humi, and the premium you WON'T have to pay for aged sticks 5-10 years from now.
