La Aurora 1495 Opinions
Anybody have opinions on La Aurora 1495 Series cigars?
Had one a while back, just read through the review I wrote, but I don't remember much about it. Nobody else commented in the thread, and I didn't find another thread that discussed these. I ask because I saw someone selling them and was thinking possibly.

In my opinion that are a good cigar, not one I would always seek out but they do offer a nice change of pace once in a while. I would say they are on the lighter end of medium with some good earthy flavors but not an overly complex cigar. I have a box (minus 5 or 6) of coronas in the humidor right now.

I like the Coronas.
Pretty balanced medium-bodied smoke. Mild spice & woody overtones combine nicely. Excellent burn & draw. More flavorful than the regular La Aurora line. Last box I picked up was only $49.99 shipped from Cigars Int'l in early November.

I'm with MJ, haven't had much luck with La Auroras stuff. And the 1495 didn't change that.

I'll go with smokin5 on this. To my taste I agree with everything he said except for the "woody overtones" and substitute "cedar/floral undertones". I tend to the medium to fuller Nicaraguans (ie AJ Fernandez - the best blender in the business right now, IMO), but LFD is what I smoke the most of. 1495's are a nice change of pace from the fuller stuff. Very well made and elegant cigar. I, as smokin5, prefer the corona. At $49.99 shipped I would say that is a steal. $.02

Re: La Aurora 1495 Opinions
No, I didn't. There was no overwhelming evidence that this was something exciting that I had to have. It is a good cigar, OK. I have tons of good cigars. I don't smoke enough to get another box of "good" cigars. When I do get around to having a cigar, it may only be one. So, I need something that is going to "WOW" me, make me stand up and take notice, before I put it in the humidor.
