San Lotano Oval: Natural or Maduro?
So, those of you that have tried them, which do you prefer?
For those of you that haven't tried both, which ever you did try, are these worth pulling the trigger on? Thanks. Peace of the Lord be with you. Todd

Re: San Lotano Oval: Natural or Maduro?
Both are extremely tasty, my #2 cigar of 2011...best of the San Lotano line. And as much as it saddens this maduro whore to say, the habano wrapper is slightly better. Definitely worth pulling the trigger.

Re: San Lotano Oval: Natural or Maduro?
I don't know why, but neither of these cigars did it for me. Honestly I kept looking for something other than dry earth and couldn't find it. Granted I smoked them within a week of them showing up, but I was expecting a little more.
I kept a few of each wrapper in a few sizes to sit on. I've had them about 3 months (I think...), so around July I'll pull them out and see if maybe I just smoked them too fast or if they're just not my thing.

I do love a Habano wrapper, especially when they're nice and spicy sweet and full flavored. I can remember smoking my way through box after box of Padilla Habanos when they first hit the shelves, they were SO good. I just didn't tell anyone, I didn't want anyone to know I was cheating on my maduros.

What a clever co-inky-dink. There's a B&M near my house that has an ST event next weekend.

I've had the following Todd:
SL connie robusto SL habano robusto SL Maduro robusto SL Oval corona in habano 2000 wrapper, and, out of all of the bunch, really enjoyed the SL habano robusto The rest of em just seemed to lack IMO...

I'm not 100% sure but I think I lucked out and got a bundle as AJ overruns from a CI daily deal, I thought they were box pressed and my uncle (who I split the bundle with) said they looked like the ovals. If I post a pic later can anyone clarify?

Re: San Lotano Oval: Natural or Maduro?
I found the Maduros to taste like burnt and like they were trying to fit as much spice as humanly possible in the smoke, and not in a good way. Thought I may have grabbed a dud, but one of my coworkers had the same experience. I'll give em another go sometime, but just haven't been in the mood to destroy my palate of recent. The habano was a nice smoke, but there are many other sticks I reach for first.
