Default Cigar temp storage question

Ok, I did a search on here in reguards to proper stick storage (RH & TEMP).

My cigars sit at about 70 degrees in my bedroom which is a good temp from what I have read.

I would like to store them in my man cave which would get down somewhere into the 60's maby even the upper 50's at times depending on the time of year.

I know this will make my RH lower but I think I can keep it controlled to the proper RH level within the humidor.

What would I be harming by keeping them at this temperature?

Would they not age well?

Cold is fine. Heat is your enemy. Above 75-80* is when beetles can hatch. Aside from that, cold is fine. Just watch your humidity.

So as long as I keep the RH acceptable, they should be ok?

I thought I read somewhere that they will not age as well at cold temps or something along those lines.....

Scott is right -- dont' worry about the lower temps.

As for aging -- when people talk about aging they are talking years of aging. If you are going to truly age your cigars you probably want a separate humidor for that as you don't want to be repeatedly opening a humidor used for aging.
