Best way to even the burn

What is the best way to even a burn once it's burning uneven? Had this problem last night. Just curious

I usualy let it go and it ends up correcting, if it is real bad I add a little flame to the long side and try to blow/stoke the ash and then do a flameless perge.

If it canoes like a wet doob of homegrown, there's not much you can do besides touching up with some flame. If it's a minor uneven burn, smoke slowly with the "long" side down. That might sound counter-intuitive, as one would think that heat rises so you should have that part up, but that's not the case.

Exactly, put the unburned side down and it should even out a bit.

Seems to work most of the time as well... Get little info i got when I started smoking..

I usually am pretty quick with the lighter to correct an uneven burn. I know some people like to wait and let it "correct itself", but my OCD kicks in and I just even it up myself if I notice the burn getting funky.

A little patience and the burn usually corrects itself for me; if it gets really bad than I touch up with a torch but this is pretty rare.

Usually I'm to impatient to let it correct itself and just hit with a torch, but flipping it over well help like others have mentioned.

I used to have a lot of burn issues. My fix was to put a lot of time and effort into lighting the cigar properly the first time, and most of my burn issues went away.

There is that too, which may be the most important step.

I had a comment, too on lighting it right the first time. There is no substitute. But you specifically asked about what
to do AFTER it was already burning wrong. Lighter.

I used to light cigars just by touching them to flame, and drawing in. Not unlike a cigarette... In some scenarios I still do this. I've found that this type of lighting method almost always creates an uneven burn.

I take my time and make sure I've got an even burn on my cigar now, before ever drawing in any smoke. Takes quite a bit more time but I think it's worth the effort. It helps me "slow down" a bit too.
