My Father El Hijo
Just got an email from Smoke Inn about a pre-order for the My Father El Hijo. Seems to be a SI exclusive cigar.
From their site: The third installment of our Microblend SeriesTM, the My Father "El Hijo" (meaning The Son), is a 5.5 x52 box pressed cigar with an unfinished foot, where the binder and filler protrude beyond the wrapper of the cigar. The unfinished foot gives the smoker a flavor experience before the very limited 2009 harvest of select Ecuadorian Habano wrapper kicks in. The experience is unique and very interesting. This select wrapper had been set aside by the Garcia Family, due to the small quantities produced, and we were very pleased and honored that we were allowed to have it for this project. You will find this medium to full bodied smoke has an extraordinary savory quality. http://www.smokeinn.com/eshop/My-Fat...Exclusive.html Review on Stogie Guys: http://www.stogieguys.com/2011/07/07...exclusive.html

Re: My Father El Hijo
Hmmm that picture of the cigar on stogie review looks hideous. The bands aren't lining up right...the uncut foot looks horrible. The second band also to me doesn't match the elegance of the MF bands on previous cigars.
However it seems it's a good smoke from the review. |

No cheaper than buying 5-ers. I think it's like the anarchy, no price reduction between 5-ers and boxes.
