Default Need some advice on humidor dimensions...

A buddy of mine is a terrific woodworker and I was recently informed he built a 100 ct. humidor for another friend, and it is awesome, he told me he could make me one however I wanted it so I was thinking I want a coffin shaped one. I don't have alot of smokes nor do I need a ton, I was thinking the top of the coffin or head being 8" wide going to 12" at the body and down to 6 " at the foot, maybe 12" deep and 2 ft. long.

Bigger? Smaller? Suggestions, thanks

250% truth, maybe even more. Buy as big of a humidor as you can afford. YOU WILL fill it up. Remember some boxes of cigars are 25-50 cigars EACH.

That's a nice looking box.

If you've been smoking awhile and truly don't want a big collection, I'd go with your initial thoughts. The dimensions you gave still make for a pretty damn big humidor.

Yeah he did a great job, like I said that one is a 100 ct. i'll work out the dimensions on my coffin box and see how big I want/need it. Should be pretty cool. If anyone is interested in a custom box shoot me a pm, he maybe interested in making some, but not a guarantee.
