Default Padron Family Reserve No. 46

Have any of you BOTL had the chance to smoke a Padron 46th yet? I was wondering what your opinion of it was.

I haven't seen many reviews of this stick, and even though it was supposed to come out in September, not a single B&M around my area carries them. Looks like most online retailers don't have them yet either, just a few here and there.

Thanks.

I had a Maduro a week or so back and while it was really good I like the 45 Maduro and the 80 Year Maduro better.

Did you order it? I haven't found anybody in Cincy that carries them. I haven't tried Straus, but if they do have them I'm sure they want $30/stick for them.

I've had both the natural and maduro and they both were very good but the natural was better overall.

Had is the operative word - I cleaned out the Maduro's yesterday.

This is the best Padron anny I've had, much stronger and spicier than any other. Can't wait to find a couple hours to smoke one again.

I know of a shop that can get as many as they want. Price would be $30/stick plus tax. Discounts by the box. State tax is brutal, otherwise they'd be cheaper.

If you want to know, shoot me a PM and I'll give you the information.

I am smoking my first #46 maduro and I am mightily impressed, as is pretty standard with Padron and for the sum of $26 (pre-tax) I would expect to be! Cost aside, I'm more engrossed with the taste of this stick than any I can remember. Recently I smoked the first Cuban Bolivar Special Edition and it was very tasty, but you could tell it was still somewhat young...Not with this stick! The #46 is the most refined strong cigar I've encountered. The mocha is deep and not bitter, the tobacco is a revelation in refinement with many components and none sticking out like a sore thumb, and the spice is the best balanced bit of just the "right sting" that makes the sum synergistic. I heard the Padron's smoked a ridiculous amount of different blends to come up with this one and, boy, did they ever knock it out of the park. Yes, it's expensive, but this is art with rare tobaccos. The burn gives great smoke and lasts almost two hours so the experience is closer to the price than you might imagine. The Padron family seems, IMHO, to be the royalty of the cigar business, they can go toe-to-toe with anything made anywhere and this cigar is all the proof I need. Highly recommended for the proper time and place where you can enjoy a stick of rare refinement.

Brad : I also have smoked a Padron 46 Maduro .. I find the 46 to be the strongest cigar that Padron releases to date. I would consider this a Full bodied cigar. Full of spices. Give it a shot and let us know what you think .
