Man O War Armada
Have any of you guys seen or tried these? I love the MoW line, but these things are really pricey, for this price I can buy a box of FFOX. I do admit they look tasty and I am very curious, but I can't imagine paying $20 a stick... Maybe I'll get lucky and a fiver will turn up on the devil

Yeah, seems a little steep for me.
Once you start thinking about the cigars in that price level that you know are excellent it is hard to talk yourself into a new stick, especially one from a brand better know for budget smokes.

Cigars & Guns...what else

Re: Man O War Armada
I've smoked a few of them and they are a very good stick but just too expensive. I dont think that they are worth the money. For that price I would rather smoke a Padron 1964 45th annaversery maduro. But thats just me.

Re: Man O War Armada
A $20 MoW!?!?! I'm sure they are good, but I don't think MoW has the right to charge that price for a stick just yet.....If I'm not mistaken most MoW's can be had for $5-$7 a stick.
Although the chest is 32 sticks for $500. $15 per stick and the box is humidified with a digital hygro. I can see it being justified if the price was a bit less. Maybe $12 a stick....and 32 box chest is overkill. This is just my opinion though. I've only smoked a few MoW and they were good. |

If you join cigar dot com cigar of the month club you get 3 MOW Armadas with your first shipment of sticks. After that you can just cancel your membership. $40 for 5 sticks plus 3 Armadas and a cutter. great deal if you ask me.

CI used to give you a free 5 pack of the Armada with each MoW box purchase. Doesn't look like they do anymore. I kind of regret not pulling the trigger on a box of them while I had the chance.

Re: Man O War Armada
I can't wait to try the ones that I have. I kinda hope that they're not as good as I think they're going to be cause they're way too expensive.

They don't have the right to create a cigar using more expensive materials for their customers who might want something like that?

I have 2 of these sitting in the humi. Bought 1 when they first came out and yet to smoke it, then I got one last week as a gift from Alex on cigar.com. Gonna wait to the right time to try one out whenever the "right" time may be..lol

Am I wrong in saying the Authenticos are same as the armadas if you read the lil jazz for both.

Re: Man O War Armada
Gotta say that they look good and the blend sounds great but there is no way in hell I'm buying a 20 dollar MOW.

Re: Man O War Armada
I smoked 1 on the golf course on Saturday. I liked it but nothing I would ever spend $20 on. Strong, yet balanced with sweetness and oak. If you want to try them, you may consider signing up for the cigar.com Cigar of the month club. First month comes with 3 MOW Armada's, then you can cancel after your first shipment...

Re: Man O War Armada
I am going to have to join the chorus here, they're a good smoke but not $15 or $20 good.
I enjoy the Puro Authentico a bit more. Much smaller ring gauge, similar flavor profile and quite a bit cheaper... The box is very pretty though.

Re: Man O War Armada
I haven't tried any of these as of yet. I might if I can find them at a reasonable price. From what you guys are saying $15-$20 is a bit high for this cigar.

I ordered a MOW tin of ten cigars and one of them was the Armada.
I have yet to smoke it since it just arrived.
