Default Dry cigar question

Does the wrapper of a cigar get darker as it dries out? If not, what causes the overall color of the wrapper to get darker. Also, I noticed the foot of the cigars are a bit darker than the body.....

I don't know the answer to your question, but I have noticed my cigars' wrappers go through various stages of color change during their sick periods.
