Different band = different blend?
My friend who is an avid smoker, but doesn't do the forum thing wanted me to ask y'all a question. If it's an idiot question I'll tell him he's an idiot if needed . He was wondering if La Flor Dominicana changed the blend of their Double Ligero cigars, when they changed bands? The old band had the standard flower La Flor Dominicana label with a Double Ligero second band. The new band has LFD on it and double ligero at the bottom of the same band. At least that's what he said about the bands. He really liked the DL's with the old band and got a few new band ones and said they were not very good. Anyone know if they changed the blend?

Re: Different band = different blend?
As far as I know the blend is still the same. They just wanted to change the band design.

Re: Different band = different blend?
Every blend in every cigar is exactly the same as they were with the old band, with the exception of the limited line production cigars like the Factory Press which changes blend with every production.
However, in the last few months there have been some shortages of tobacco for various reasons, which have left a few batches of cigars with an unusual difference in flavor (Oscuro Cabinet series specifically). Litto himself confirmed he didn't change any blends.

I'm just chalking it up to a bad stick and will certainly continue to keep these in my smoking rotation as long as it doesn't become the norm.
