Cain Maduro 550
This cigar is DARK! Some veins, and a slightly ugly wrapper, but not a bad one by any means. It is firm all the way down. I drank a Guiness Draught with this. Dark beer for a dark cigar.
I clipped the cap and was pleased with the chocolate pre light flavors I got. It lit easily and evenly. The first puff yielded some mild spice and pepper, which intensified a lot in the next few puffs. This spice stayed on my tongue for a few puffs. You can taste some nuts and chocolate behind the spice. After about 2" in, the spice falls back a little bit so you can focus on the other flavors a little better. It didn't disappear, which was nice. It was just a lot more tolerable. This cigar was VERY smooth the entire time. I definitely recommend this to anyone who likes a maduro or ligero cigar. Here are some pics from my experience. I even left it sitting for about 5 minutes and came back and it wasn't even close to going out!

I just picked one of these up last weekend. Giving it a few days to mellow, but I see myself smoking this puppy soon. I dig the habano.

Re: Cain Maduro 550
I tryed the Habano first and loved it, but I thought the Maduro had more "punch" to it, just my opinion.

I'd probably give it a 7.5 out of 10. But it's a great stick for the price. I paid $5.95 for it. The only time I thought the pepper and spice was over powering was in those first few puffs but it quickly redeemed itself

Re: Cain Maduro 550
Thanks for the review. Personally...I thought it was smooth to the point of flavorless. The only thing that had any flavor at all was the maduro wrapper, which tasted like...uhm...maduro. But this stick has it all over the Cain 660 Habano. Which lacking the maduro wrapper...I felt had close to no flavor at all. They got the price right though, at $6-$7. It's an OK with a little kick (nearly 100% ligero???) that isn't harsh.
