Default Has your top 5 NC favorites changed lately?

Ok, I have had some phenominal sticks lately so I guess since the last similar thread my favorites have changed. My favorite non-cubans are as follows:

5. Fuente Anejo (All)
4. Casa Magna (colorado)
3. Opus X (All) (never had a black label though)
2. Pepin JJ Maduros (I freakin love them!)

and number 1 is Tatuaje Zona Del Este!!!!!!! I have only had one and this is my all time favorite to date! The perfect size and such a beautiful flavor profile.....AND I CAN'T FIND ANY!

Have your favorites changed completely or pretty much remained the same?

I think that my tastes have developed, but the top 5 NCs will always hover in the same realm (Padron Anni, Opus X, Anejo, Anything DPG)

Last night me and sofaman smoked a cigar to celebrate him closing on his house.
He had an old Opus he's been saving for the occasion.
I had a pick of a zillion sticks and went with a Sancho Panza Extra Fuerte Pamplona.
So, no, my tastes haven't changed. I just still like finding new good ones.
DPG Maduros are probably still my favorite, but I have a lot of others that are real close.

My Top 5 hasn't changed, but I did have a cigar that moved up in the rankings--I smoked an Esencia Corona Gorda this weekend and the ones I've had previously were very good, but this one was excellent. Still not Top 5, but it's up there.

If I could afford them, I'd put VSGs on my list. But of the ones I can afford, if barely, I can recommend:

ERDM Reserva Salado
Excalibur Royal Sterling Fidelis
JR Ultimate Petit Corona - in EMS, M, and X

That makes 5 - sorta.

Good question. Not sure I have a top 5. A few have moved up for me, though . . .

AF Chateau Fuente Sungrown. Got 2 boxes of these a while back and I love 'em.
AF Don Carlos. Get better with each one.
Padron 64 -- took a long time to get to one of these, but it was good.

I'll have to give my top 5 some thought.

Hmm. I dont have a LOT of experience but I'd have to say.

3.Partagas Black ( fav is Maximo )
2.La Riqueza (pref. #3 or #5)
1.Ashton VSG (any one)

Im not sure about 4 -5 and up. I dont think I have "favorites" to fill those slots, but I do enjoy Oliva G Maddies in the morning, Taboo HSG's are tasty, Padron's are hit and miss with me, Ashton Maduros are great, etc...

After many years I had narrowed my tastes to:
Oliva Bold
CAO Maduro
Anything Fuente.

Then, about a year ago, I went from a desktop humidor to a Montegue. I then started buying all kinds of stuff.

In the last two months I have settled myself to the point where I will stock nothing but,

Padron Anniversary
CAO Maduro
Diamond Crown
Anything Fuente (regular smokes)
Premium Edition Fuente's

When in my BM, I will experiment, but unless something knocks my socks off, it doesn't make it to the humi.

Ya know, it's funny you should ask because cigars filled or wrapped with ligero seem to be sneaking into my weekly rotation more and more.

Hmmmmmmmmm......

I guess these would have to be mine too since they are the only (NC) brands I smoke and buy regularly. Fuente less than the others due to cost and scarcity. It hasn't been a conscious decision, these are just the brands I gravitate towards when I'm at the store. and for good reason.

With only around a years worth of experience I havea very limited sampling to choose a top five.

1. CAO Brazilia
1. LFD Double Ligero
3. Oliva V
4. Perdomo Lot 23
5. JFR Corojo

The only change is the tie between the CAO and the LFD as I discovered the LFD a month ago and fell in love.
