Default Special occasion stick?

I was wondering what stick you reach for when there is a special occasion to celebrate. With my birthday coming up I am thinking of grabbing a Padron 1964 Maduro since I have never had one and they are loved here.

What do you guys smoke?

I'd grab something like a Davi 5000 or a Dunhill Mojito. Perhaps a nice Robt. Burns panatella from 1957.

I hear the Davidoff 5000's are a great burn...still waiting to try one myself (if I can ever fond one).

I think the smoke makes the occassion, rather than the occassion dictating the smoke...so fire up whatever you are in the mood for that night...your best, your favorite, something new....it's all good.

I hear ya. I have a single Ashton VSG that has been resting awhile, I may have to gift it to myself that night.

If you have a hankering for it, Bill, burn that sucker, and enjoy your Birthday!

Life is too short to save any stick for a special occasion. I say "Smoke'em if you got 'em and don't leave any for your wake!"

A Casa Fuente would be nice if I could ever score one.

I like the GOF and the Anejos for special days, mostly for the cost or difficulty to find locally. Smoke that VSG, you'll enjoy it!

Every cigar is an any day cigar. One of my favorite things to do at the beginning of every day is to look over my humi and decide what I feel like smoking that day. Sometimes, like today, I smoked one I took and then bought one to smoke after lunch...I actually bought to after lunch today and then decided which to smoke. Went with the ESG instead of the Padron 64 anni.

Special occassion huh? Just about every day's a special smoking occassion to me

But I do have a few I'd choose from: Ashton VSG, Oliva Master Blend, Anejo 48, RP Decade Robusto (original release).

I used to save sticks, good booze, etc for special occasions. As I've grown older I break out the good stuff for no particular reason, and make it a "special" event.
