Support the NHL Kids 'N Community Beard-A-Thon

My Fellow Inmates:

Some of you may already be involved in this through your NHL Playoff Teams. I have decided to participate in the Kids 'n Community Beard-A-Thon Fundraiser.

What is Kids 'n Community?

Through partnerships with committed organizations and individuals the Carolina Hurricanes Kids ‘N Community Foundation works to improve the health, educational, and social opportunities in the lives of our young people, as they are the key to the long-term well-being of our communities.
During the 2008-09 hockey season, the Carolina Hurricanes Kids ‘N Community Foundation has donated over $506,000 to 43 different children’s charities in North Carolina. Children’s non-profits that received funding this year range in size from grassroots programs like Rocking Horse Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center and Wee Care to large, state-wide programs like Special Olympics and the Boys and Girls Club.

Over the last two hockey seasons, over $1 million in cash grants have been donated to over 50 different North Carolina children’s charities.

Don't worry... I have some smokes picked out if they do.

But I haved one picked out to smoke as a victory cigar if the 'Canes put a whoopin' on the Devils Tuesday night.
