Re: oddball cars that you love
My first car. This isn't a pic of the car itself because it died many years ago at about 2 am on Shore Drive. (Read dark road with lots of drivers coming from the club/bar on it.) Transmission fell out. I paid a 1000 for it. It was awesome til you put the canvas top up then you would see all the cuts from people breaking into it.
Looked just like this though. Was the coolest car to have in H.S. |

I had a 53 Willy's 3/4 ton 4x4 ex-army truck (Still had the olive drab paint and star). Called it Sgt. Slaughter. The bullet holes really added to it's character. It topped out around 45mph (even without the governor), but it would pull a house!

EWWW !!!
I had the Mercury Topaz, '89... What a P O S. The car that was the most fun was a '72 Cuda, the one that was the weirdest was a Gremlin....

I've never had one, but I really like the Toyota FJ cruiser.

Sit in the back seat on the FJ. It feels like a bad seat on a plane the window and the seats don't line up. Mother-in-law has one. If you don't ever plan on having someone sit back there they are cool to drive.

My grandma had an 80s model that she sold two years ago. Still looked brand new.

Still driving it. Currently registered in NC. Originally purchased by my Grandparents on June 19, 1972. For a whopping $2,727.22.(yes, I have the paperwork) Did I mention their car payment was $87 a month for 24 months?? |

Had this POS for several months before its appreciated demise. A kewl car if you put a fiberglass body and hell replace everything else while your at it. Few cars ever made worst than a Vega. This is 73 and is in much better shape than the one I had 30 years ago.
