Default Davidoff Royal Robusto

I was looking for a reason to smoke this ever since I picked one of these beauties up a couple weeks ago. Since I was just accepted into the Generation Next organization, I felt that this was a great reason to celebrate by smoking this cigar

In a sentence, this cigar is rich, opulent, and satisying. It's about 5.5 inches by about a 52 ring guage with a dark, oily wrapper reminiscient of the Davidoff Millenium. It is full-flavored like the Millenium blend but far more complex if you can imagine. It has that signature, roasted marshmallow-sweetness type of aroma and chock full of flavors of coffee, roasted almonds and a certain tannic oakiness.

It took about 2 hours for me to finish this (though I tend to nurse my cigars). The MSRP on this is $30 per stick and they come in a box of 50 for $1,500 . They can only be purchased at Davidoff flagship stores.

This was an absolutey delcious cigar and I wished that I had more. If you like the Millenium Blend, you'll fall over backwards for the Royal Robusto. At 30 bucks a pop though, you'd be wise to be as judicious as possible about your consumption of these. If you happen to find yourself looking for an elegant, "tuxedo cigar" and you have a very special occasion to smoke one, you most assuredly will not be dissapointed

It's a crummy picture, but here is what she looks like (in all of her overpriced glory, lol).

Mmmm. That looks good. I'd really like to take a second mortgage and get myself one of these sometime.

Yep!

Davidoff on Madison Avenue, NYC - (212) 223-2620

Anyone there can help you but I've been dealing with Eric Flores for the past 10 years. If you mention that William Daly told you to call him, I know he'll take care of you. Let me know if you have any problems!

(I think they're open from 10am - 5pm)

Well, not actually shilling. I've come to expect phenomenal service from Eric over the years and know him to be a great guy - he used to take good care of me when I used to visit the shop

LOL, that might be a hell of a box split! Any room for an order that size on your credit card? How about we split a "tray" of 10?

BTW, great to see you back, Mister!!

Exactly!

I have absolutely no willpower. I often think that some of the luckiest guys on the planet are the guys that only smoke (and really enjoy) the El Cheapo, mixed-filler stuff. Because when I realized what it was that I liked, it began to really cost me!

Thanks Davidoff!

That is a beautiful cigar, a work of art. I have got to get my hands on one of these some day.
Thanks for the picture and review.

Hell Bill life is short so it's time to splurge. Just think of all I could have bought if that damn logging truck had not whacked my trailer on Monday. Hell I'd gladly laugh off the damage if I could have just 5 minutes alone in a room with the SOB. Hits the ass end of my trailer and just roars off down the road. I'm hoping some bad karma catches up with him and he finds himself someday impaled on his steering wheel.

I wish I could see the picture

I got two 4 packs of the robusto milleniums for my b-day and they arrived yesterday. I couldn't wait for them to rest a couple of days. I had one immediately-my all time fav. I have never had the royal-really pricey!

ah-pic works now
