Default Randy Wiley

I received a Randy Wiley pipe for christmas. I really love the thing in most all aspects (it's pretty heavy) and I can't get the bottom quarter to smoke dry no matter what I do. I think I may have asked a few about this already and I still have had very little success I tried looking around the web for an email address or something but to no avail. I was hoping the man himself could unlock the secret for me.

The problem that I see is that the bowl is tapered and it comes to a very abrupt point at the bottom of the bowl at the draft hole. I have had no problems with the draft so I figure that the tobacco is so condensed there that it can't help but accumulate moisture. If any of you know his email or has some suggestions I would greatly appreciate the help.
