Re: Allow me to be a grammer nazi for a while
Thanks for the advise
People seem to get that one wrong all the time.

Lumped in here, I think. We (speaking in the Royal Sense, of course), wouldn't want to clog up the Nuthouse with too much superfluous banter.

"Whats your watch say?" (Meaning what time is it please?)
"How many corns do you want?" (Meaning how many ears of corn would you like me to cook for you?) "Can I see the remote?" (Meaning please pass me the remote.) "We don't got no more Extra Grispy" (Meaning I'm sorry, we're sold out of Extra Grispy chicken at this time.) I love Massachusetts!

Re: Allow me to be a grammer nazi for a while
FYI: Grispy: A term used to describe ones goofy, but Krispy looking clothes , shoes, hat etc. Usually complementing someones ridiculous freshness and/or good looks. Combining Goofy and Krispy gets you Grispy.

Re: Allow me to be a grammer nazi for a while
Spelling and grammar in a resume are crucial. In a forum like this, not so much. But I still hate it when people talk about their "pallets" in reference to cigar flavor. If you have a pallet in your mouth you should probably see a doctor. Or a dock worker maybe?

Re: Allow me to be a grammer nazi for a while
I be's a ninth grade grammer teecher, but I hates using me some proper grammer when I talk. I's gots me a Southern dialect and is proud of it.
I do use proper grammar when talking in many situations, (such as when speaking in a professional setting, church, and in business matters) but I turn the dialect back on when I'm around friends and family. I guess that makes me bi-dialectal. BTW, if Eye-talian is the way that Archie Bunker says it, then it must be the correct usage.

Re: Allow me to be a grammer nazi for a while
Thats just the way some people seem to type around here. No capitals and no attention to spelling or what they are actually writing, makes it worthless to try to follow some folks posts.
