Re: 2009 Pipe Order Thread
She has arrived!!!
I love how mine turned out. A nice, dark and rich color. The smooth parts have a mute grain definition and it goes wonderfully with the rusticated sections. When I talked to Dan originally I told him to just do with it what they wanted, that I just wanted some smooth. Anyway, ON TO THE PICTURES! What came in the box: And some of the pipe: And my humble pipe collection: Now if it would only stop raining long enough for me to sit outside and enjoy a bowl in it...

Re: 2009 Pipe Order Thread
Nice!
I like the shape, the way the rim is cut, and love those thick walls... The partial rustication is cool, too. I'm just not crazy about the stem, but I bet it will smoke like a champ. Oh, boy, this is exciting... how much did it cost, Seth? |

Re: 2009 Pipe Order Thread
How did your pipe ship? UPS, Fed-Ex, or USPS? I live out in Oregon, so if it was sent UPS or Fed-Ex I may have to wait awhile, but if it was USPS then hopefully I can get it tomorrow or Monday. Also, does anyone know if on a "smooth" option of this pipe, the top of the bowl will still be rustic like the one posted? I love the top part being rustic, but was hoping the rest would be smooth on my pipe.
Also, I love the shape of the pipe, and the flat bottom for easy resting. |

If I remember correctly he charged me $118 for it, but I don't have my check book handy and they still haven't cashed my check. Quote:
It is supposed to be sunny (and hot) tomorrow, so hopefully I will get a chance to start breaking her in.

Curses left the house for half an hour and missed the UPS guy. Going to have to wait till tomorrow. On a side note 94 degree weather sucks.

Re: 2009 Pipe Order Thread
My Boswell CA pipe was delivered today....
I like how 2/3 of the rim is natural plateau burl texture and the rest is smooth. That Christmas Cookie blend smells great...

Re: 2009 Pipe Order Thread
Just a quick note to say that i received my pipe today. I plan to post pics tomorrow or the next day.
My pipe was "all smooth". I guess the only change I would make is to have a rusticated bowl like JaKaacH. Overall I love the pipe, and that would be the only small change I would make. The size is larger then I thought from the pictures (which makes me happy since my old pioneer pipe is too small). Just some info for other members: Pipe Cost: $99 Shipping: $11 Also picked-up 4 ounces of Northwoods, on top of my free sample of Christmas Cookie, for $14. |

My twins arrived today!!!! I absolutely love both of them. I snapped a few pics that I'll post later tonight. I'm smoking some Sweet Tea in the rusticated one right now. Boswell pipes definitely smoke like a champ!!!
