Re: What's your favorite IPA?
My favorite......my own. There are 1001 reasons to homebrew, but you IPA lovers have an extra reason. The ability to dry-hop and bottle(or keg) and drink relatively fresh makes for an amazing IPA. I think this was the reason Pliny was not bottled until recently, had to be pretty fresh to maintain that huge fresh hop aroma and flavor. That, and the ability to put you favorite hops and hop combinations into your brew. I like making larger, later hop additions to get more of the flavor/aroma and less of the bitterness. And it's gotta be fairly dry, high final gravity IPA's
My favorite combo: Amarillo and Simcoe, 30min/15min/Flame-out/DryHop. |

Could not agree more. Aside from things like the Bill of Rights and being able to find a public space to smoke in, homebrewing is what I have missed the most since moving to London.

Brought home a growler of Great Lakes Lake Erie Monster, it's pretty tasty stuff. If I had to pick a favorite, would likely go with Bell's Two Hearted, also a big Stone Brewing fan.

Love the Bell's Two-hearted. The Hopslam is also great when one can find it ... Hop-o-liscious

Re: What's your favorite IPA?
I tasted a fabulous IPA last weekend called Bitter ***** IPA from the Wet Dog Brewing Company of Astoria, OR, but my favorite IPA's would have to be.... Total Dominiation IPA of Ninkasi (Eugene, OR) .... or Pliney the Elder of Russian River (Cali) or... maybe Blue Dot from Hair of the Dog (Portland, OR) or maybe the Blockhead Imperial IPA at Block 15 of Corvallis, OR.. or... or.... yea I could keep going
