Re: Bring on the Coolers
If I used coolers I would want a setup like that, but also some fancy outer shell to make my cooler look like a humidor!

Re: Bring on the Coolers
Tray pricing for these or any other spanish cedar tray work....
Trying to keep it simple... It don't matter if it's large or small... 1 to 4 pieces - $25.00/piece plus wood cost 5-8 pieces - $22.50/piece plus wood cost 8 or more pieces - $20.00/piece plus wood cost. The trays on the coolers take about 2 board feet each - give or take. Spanish cedar is $6.00 per board foot currently... I am going to buy 5 of these coolers and build 'em out just like this... and they'll be available for $150 each - plus shipping. If it goes well, I may get more.... any takers?

Re: Bring on the Coolers
They are 33qt. Or about 1900 cubit inches. I am not sure how that best translates to cigar capacity.

Re: Bring on the Coolers
The industry figures 100 cigars for every 700 cubic inches... so, right around 275.... But, seems like it should be more.....

Re: Bring on the Coolers
Awesome work! When I upgrade to a larger cooler, I will be hitting you up for sure. This is a great way to utilize your entire cooler, a much better method than say stacking the traditional pre-made trays that go for 10 bucks.

Re: Bring on the Coolers
Wow!
For all the years I have had my coolidors, this was exactly what I always envisioned it "should" look like if I had the skills. I know I can't afford a WM humi, but those trays are definitely something I can see myself getting to improve my setup 100% and eliminate box tetris. Great Work! |

Just stumbled on this old thread while searching to see if anyone else is using the Coleman Party Stackers™ for cigar storage. Those Spanish cedar trays are brilliant! Does the OP still offer them? If so, I'm definitely in for a trio. I love my stackable Party Stackers and these trays would definitely take my mess up a notch. |
