If you want an English pipe because of your heritage and are looking for heirloom quality, I would consider looking for an estate Dunhill in your birth year. This would fulfill what you are looking for…a high quality, English pipe that you can hand down, plus the fact Dunhills won't depreciate as much as the pipe you are looking at.
If you are in your 20's/30's, you can find a birth year Dunhill pretty easily at very reasonable prices….around the $125 to $175 range. Older Dunhills smoke very well and it's pretty cool to have a pipe made in the same year you were born. Dunhills come in a wide range of shapes, finishes, and colors. Check out Ebay, and other pipe sites like Pulver's Briars, Briar Blues and the like. |
