I would probably do this, just because it doesn't sound too hard. The difficulty seems to come from getting over the psychological "ick factor". But I don't know, can eating tobacco like that make you vomit? I was always told that swallowing too much chewing tobacco will make you sick.

It would be like smoking a strong cigar on an empty stomach only many times worse.
