The heat is slowly getting pulled out of the tube. I've had a thermometer in the bottom for the past 1.5 hours. Last time I checked it was 68*. I'll run and check it now....
It is now 66* in the bottom and 80 at the surface. I expect it will eventually get to cellar temps of about 57* at the floor of the tube. |

Well in that case, congrats!
Just be sure you mark your hole somewhere, I can see the winter dumping 2 feet of snow on that and making you wonder where your cigars are. |

Winter in the bottom of that pipe will be pretty darn cold! The tube is about 5' from my house. There is no way that I can loose track of it. I've been carefully considering how to install a lock without compromising water tightness. i think I have a good solution and will post picture later today or tomorrow. I'm still waiting for the UPS man to deliver my cigs! |
