I'm gonna say that's kinda crazy. For someone whose name is MajorCaptSilly to say it's crazy, it's pretty crazy. I say buy a cooler and put it in the coolest part of your house. It will insulate the contents from much of the heat on the outside and will also help regulate humidity. Remember, it only gets dangerous if the temp of your humidor gets above 80 degrees. I would also recommend freezing your cigars to kill off any beetles.

Hmmm, 12 posts which means your new here. If you plan on sticking around and following through with your plan I say make the hole 8ft wide not 8". We are a bad influence and soon your collection will outgrow an 8" hole.
![]() To stay on topic, I think your plan is pretty drastic. May want to do a search for Vino. May be a more practical solution.

Burying them seems somewhat drastic. I would go with a vino if the funds permit, if they don't I would explore other options first.
I don't know if this would work, if it's a small enough number why not go with a small tupperware in the fridge with beads? |
