Life Aboard The CCGS Griffon
well i am not one to tell the story about life aboard this fine ship i do have a wack of pics of it and its life on the great lakes. I will post up pics in this thread with what i think they are or is happening and i am sure Old Sailor will offer his corrections and thoughts.
First lets get to know the old girl a little bit i am guessing that most ships have this plaque on them somewhere... a pretty sight at night another night view a view of the main structure (i have no idea of the real name) which houses everything for the crew the deck or work area |

next some daylight pics one of the above walkways in the daytime the wheelhouse (or whatever it is really called) looking forward at the crane daves hiding place? you will notice to the left i think that is prolly a 20-30 foot boat on the boat.....just to give you a bit of a scope of the size of this ship |

Great job Shaggy keep them Pictures coming I have a few I post up also ,she's a Grand Gal that's for sure and Dave's should be dam PROUD to serve on her the way he keeps that baby looking brand new

Very nice! I have a friend who is a captain on a coal barge on the Ohio. How about some inside with living quarters and the like?

How many crew- officers? What do the sleeping quarters look like? I remember as a kid traveling on the SS Constitution and America from New York to Rome. Boy those were some fancy digs, but it got to a point where it was too expensive and long, so we had to fly- much to Mom's consternation and displeasure!
