Life Aboard The CCGS Griffon
well i am not one to tell the story about life aboard this fine ship i do have a wack of pics of it and its life on the great lakes. I will post up pics in this thread with what i think they are or is happening and i am sure Old Sailor will offer his corrections and thoughts.
First lets get to know the old girl a little bit i am guessing that most ships have this plaque on them somewhere... http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...fon2008055.jpg a pretty sight at night http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...fon2008003.jpg another night view http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...fon2008001.jpg a view of the main structure (i have no idea of the real name) which houses everything for the crew http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...fon2008002.jpg the deck or work area http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...fon2008005.jpg |

Re: Life Aboard The CCGS Griffon
How many crew- officers? What do the sleeping quarters look like? I remember as a kid traveling on the SS Constitution and America from New York to Rome. Boy those were some fancy digs, but it got to a point where it was too expensive and long, so we had to fly- much to Mom's consternation and displeasure!
