I heard the new La Polina release party recently happened. I was wondering if anyone has smoked the 1896 robusto? At $19/stick, any reviews are welcome.

Havn't tried any yet, however, the guys on Dog Watch were talking to someone who attended the release party and he said they were a good stick, however way over priced. The extra price increase was not due to better/longer aged tobacco but due to the fact they had to pay a larger price moving the tobacco through the Bahamas.

La Palina...can't spell.
From what I can gather, this is a cigar that was original meant to be a private stock, but word got out and so they started selling them. Production is capped, hence the high price. Thanks for your reply!
