Kuru is a degenerative neurological disorder of a type of tramissibile spongiform encephalopathy, sometimes called prion diseases due to their presumed vector, and is very akin to Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (often incorrectly called "mad cow disease").

I don't think so. Most neural stuff stays inside the blood brain barrier or out. It could though. If it's cooked, I can't see a problem. Not that I care anyways, I'll eat anything. It's probably why I'm in the shape I'm in.

Kuru has never been found outside of New Guinea. And it was isolated to a couple of tribes who cannibalized brains as part of their funeral ritual. I dont think prions exist in marrow, only in brain tissue and sometimes the spinal column.
