Double bag your sticks and slowly adjust them in and out of the freezer (ie. 24hrs in fridge -> 2 or 3 days in freezer -> 24hrs in fridge -> back to room temp) and you'll have no problems.

In this situation your choices are:

1) Freeze your collection, follow a freeze process for all new cigars and don't worry about beetles again.

2) Buy a new vinotemp or have the existing one repaired so temp control works again.

3) Do #1 and #2.

4) Do none of the above and risk it.

Personally I'd vote for #3.
