Headphones for the Treadmill

I need a good pair of headphones for running on the treadmill. My pair now is ok, but just doesn't seem comfortable, and the sound quality isn't that great. I'm looking for the best quality sound I can get for under $100. Also, I prefer the clip style over the earbud.

Can anyone who runs, lifts, or does any type of workouts give advice?

I have a pair of Bose I bought from a buddy selling them at $50/pair that sound really nice. He probably still has more.

For best sound quality, comfort at a gym and price I love my Sennheiser PX 100's. Can't beat them little buggers. Within replaceable cost if damaged too. And they sound better than the full size bose headphones I have for the plane.

They aren't earbuds, just regular headphones. Don't know what you mean by clips.

Never had a problem with them falling off at the gym though. Stay on your head no problem.

quality IEMs can be had for not a ton, and with interchangable ear pieces and selections of foam, silicone, or rubber, you should not rule them out. Check out Shure and V-moda for some alternatives.
Earbuds are most definitely not in the same class, although both are "in some portion of your noggin"

i use sony clips but buyer beware....after a year the one of your speakers will stop working. luckily best buy is nice enough to replace them.

Oh ok I get what you mean by clip. I have owned those kind, never liked the sound quality and didn't like how the sweat would build up and having to clean the parts in contact with my skin. That is why I switch to the PX100's. Good hunting.

I actually just ordered a set of the S4's, will post back once I get them and have an opinion. I was considering the S4i, but then realized that for the number of times it'd be important enough to answer a call at the gym I could just take the iPhone out of my pocket and hold it to my head

I used to have a set of Sennheiser CX400's that were absolutely amazing! Brilliant sound quality and a perfect fit that stayed nice and snug through an entire workout (I find many IEM's tend to get a bit loose as sweat and heat buildup). Also did a very nice job at blocking out all the ambient noise around me, even when no music was playing. Still a bit miffed that I left them on the plane last time I went on vacation

I would insist on the controls just because I hate having to unlock my iphone
to change the volume.

I use the Motorola S9-HD Bluetooth headset with my iPhone:

They are spendy when compared to a regular set of headphones, but I really like the wireless aspect when I am moving around.

Why would you need to unlock the iPhone to change volume? That's what the volume rockers on the side are for.....

I've got a pair of skull candy earbuds or whatever. Got them on sale for under 15 bucks and they are honestly pretty damn nice. They cancel out a lot of noise and get a nice bass range on them. Best part, they retail shade under 20. Give em a shot. They are earbuds though...There are also some sony over ear headphones I have used in the past for under 20 bucks that worked well.
