I'm still at a loss for words...
Apparently, you have plenty of time to dial a cell phone, tell your friends that you're in a runaway car at high speed...but you can't step on the brake pedal?? Darwin's Theory at work?? The article states 2.5 seconds and 3.3 seconds for holiding the start/stop button to shut the cars off....but this somehow was too difficult for people to do?? |

Yeah when I first heard if this I wondered why they just didn't put the car in neutral and use the breaks or even coast to a stop. But I do know some people that have less than zero knowledge about how an automobile works let alone how to save themselves if something unexpected were to happen. I actually talked to my fiancee about what she should do if something like this happened to her, because I think that she thinks there is a hamster running around on a wheel inside the car that makes it go.
