Re: T110 exploded....
I was the other half that got an exploded T110....I just cut it and smoked it...it looked ugly but smoked ok....still had a great flavor and mine was much worse then yours. After lighting it looked like some put a firecracker in the end of it!

Re: T110 exploded....
I would say to try and slowly rip off some of the wrapper so that the cigar becomes somewhat esthetically reasonable and start smoking it. I would not suggest you cut it, but rather use a punch. Let us know what you do, and how your experience goes.

Re: T110 exploded....
Have you let the seller know of the situation? Just a thought. I'd clip it and smoke it...

Re: T110 exploded....
I'd flip it & smoke it from the foot. I've did it before, it's not too horrible.

Re: T110 exploded....
I would be curious to know if they use a similar wrapper to the East/West Coasts as those wrappers are super delicate and get damaged just by looking at them wrong and if that were the case it would make a lot of sense hearing about wrapper issues with these. Sad to see a great stick get damaged during transit. I agree with the rest and say smoke it, although I am in the camp of trying to repair it a little with pectin first. You would be amazed of the results as I recently repaired a stick that I received in a trade that looked like it had been through a couple world wars. I fixed it up with a bit of pectin and surprisingly the thing smoked flawlessly.

Re: T110 exploded....
the T110's are very very thin. I've had some explode in the mail as well.
In fact just this last friday I had two in my traveldor for about 3 hours. it was full, no movement in the box. I pulled both out, went to hand one to jcruz and half the foot was missing it's wrapper. Still smoked well, but they are pretty fragile. |

Re: T110 exploded....
If you haven't smoked it yet, take the wrapper off another cigar and wrap it around the cigar from about where the band is up. Use something different, it will keep the cigar together and you will even get to smoke a little of it with the different wrapper and get to see what it does to the cigar taste.
