Having cigars that are very veiny is not an issue until you feel it on your lips when you smoke. Good cigars can be veiny, but when they hit your lips, you will not feel a simple bump. The picture #3 provided are informative and hit the gist of what your are asking.

I think sometimes pictures of cigars are "doctored" a bit to help make the wrapper appear smoother. Also, you'll find that shade grown wrappers have less veins, where as sun growns will be rougher.
