Send them to Zippo, they put a new updated inserts in mine. Gift or no gift Zippo has a lifetime guaranty. Send it in and they will fix it. I have sent mine in once and am sad to say I have to send it again but I like the lighter when it works.

For what it's worth, these are supposed to be the new updated blu's. They were just released a couple months ago. I will still eventually send mine in, but will not do it a second time if it keeps it up. Will throw it out

So I have an update...I did the 'shake while purging' that n2adventure posted and bingo...mine works again. Mine had not fired up in almost 2 weeks and last night it fired up first try everytime. We shall see if it keeps going.

I was really surprised how much more gas came out during purging when I started shaking it...it was almost done and I shook it and it got hissing a lot louder again, and again, and again

I always shake twice, put it away and wash my hands! Any more than 2 shakes is funny business.
