Thrashers battle back from two down after the first period to lose to the B's in a shoot out. The playstyle of Boston seemed frustrating for the Thrashers who like to control the puck all the way into the offensive zone instead of just dumping it in. Once they started dumping it, the game turned around enough for them to tie it up.
It seemed to me last night that Kovalchuk was trying to pass the puck one two many times when he should have just taken the shot. I found myself asking why he didn't just shoot instead of having it knocked away on the pass attempt. |

The game against the Leafs was a horrible display except for the goaltending of Kiprasoff other than a few lucky goals the Leafs manhandled the Flames for most of the Game. They have laid down and played dead against the Hawks twice this year. They let Colorodo dictate the pace of the game the other night and therefore did not play within their system or style, allowing Colorado to stand in front of Kipper and essentially have their way with him. Up 5 nothing against the Canucks and let them storm back with 3 more goals (4 if you count the one that was waved off by an early whistle) Watching the game last night, Sutter was furious and clearly unhappy yet none of the players even reacted, in fact they seemed to become even more lethargic. Dunno when you add those things up I don't like what I see. There is more season to come but I am concerned, lets put it this way I am very thankful for the great start and that Kipper is having a stellar start, this could get very ugly fast. Just my thoughts. |
