Need help connecting 360 to internet

That would deffinately send me to the problem on the 360. A bad port or look at the system settings to see if there is a way to turn on/off the internet connection.

Can the 360 use the usb wireless that you are using with the computer?

On the computer do you use a USB adapter to connect wirelessly to the 2 wire?

If so you might be able to use that on the 360 (if the 360 will allow 3rd party adapters).

I connect wirelessly with the laptop

If the laptop will connect to the gateway with a cord then I would say it's either the 360 port or a setting that is turned off.

Screw it...just called MS and told them I was having a problem with the port. Also keep getting 3 red lights. It's still under warranty, so they are just gonna fix it for me.

They probably will send you a brand new 360. I had the "ring of death" and they sent me a brand new one plus a 1 month xbox live card. Oh they send a box prepaid to them too. Haven't had any problems yet.
