Gurkha Doble Maduro Toro
Yet another stick from coastietech in the NST. And yes, it's spelled Doble (Spanish for double).
Humidor time: 3 weeks, *but* Joe had this in his humi for about 4 months after picking it up in a sampler here. I think this stick had some decent age on it, as the bands were very loose. Prelight: This stick is dressed in cedar. The wrapper is very oily. Prelight draw is easy, tasting of chocolate and cedar. Burn: The burn was very straight, no touchups needed. Ash was very solid. Draw was very easy, but this stick never got hot or developed any burn issues. The burn time was about 90 minutes. Flavor: This cigar started out mild, with nice chocolate and cedar flavors. After the first third, it developed a nice spice finish. Summary: If you haven't tried any Gurkha sticks, I'd start with this one, especially if you love maddies. I'm going to pick up a few 5ers to rest. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Gurkha Doble Maduro Toro
Thanks for the review, I haven't had much success with Gurkhas but it sounds like I should give this one a try.
