H2O is one of the chemicals, so is CO2. 4000? Who counted?
The paper burning gets me. The smell, the burning in your eyes, the taste. Like smoldering newspaper. The flash dried tobacco is not the same as the cured tobacco in cigars either. |

Excerpt:
Tobacco companies reporting this information were: American Tobacco Company Brown and Williamson Liggett Group, Inc. Philip Morris Inc. R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company While these ingredients are approved as additives for foods, they were not tested by burning them, and it is the burning of many of these substances which changes their properties, often for the worse. Over 4000 chemical compounds are created by burning a cigarette, many of which are toxic and/or carcinogenic. Carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen cyanide and ammonia are all present in cigarette smoke. Forty-three known carcinogens are in mainstream smoke, sidestream smoke, or both.

And how many of those known carcinogens are also found in cigar smoke, or any smoke for that matter? Most of them. All smoke is packed full of various compounds, some is just worse than others. |

![]() ![]() Troy great post...Thanks. ![]() I can't stand the smell of cigarettes....but lighting up a cigarette near someone having a cigar is pure rudeness. ![]() At one point I was having around 20 cigars a week...when I didn't have any for a few days; I didn't go through any sort of withdrawal.......try that with a cigarette smoker! ![]() |

I didn't mine talking the fellow, he was nice and all. When he lit up that cigarette though it just really disappointed me. Evidently I must be raising my expectations. But usually I am not like that.
