Pectin Question
I have a few "wounded warriors" (Commies) that need a little rehab. I bought a pouch of powdered pectin with the intent of making a small batch of glue.
My question is how much pectin? I suppose I just boil it in water to dissolve it to set into a glue? Am I even close? Thanks in advance.

Re: Pectin Question
I don't think you need to boil it, just mix some into a light paste

Re: Pectin Question
yup, small amount of water and just enough pectin to make a thin paste. I use a very small brush (cheap in the cosmetics section of the grocery store) to mix and then lightly paint it on the cigar. Don't use too much since too much water can cause more damage and too much glue can make it look pretty terrible.
I've had the same packet of pectin for 2 years and still have 80% of it left.
