20 cigars for $35 is a good deal, unless the cigars are dog rockets. CI has a special on the Victor Sinclair Series '55' perfectos. It looks like a sweet deal, but I have never tried any of them. The last few VS cigars I have had were not anything that inspired confidence in me. Though I have had some in the past that I really enjoyed.
The package contains the following: 4 - VS Serie '55' Cameroon Perfecto (5" x 54) 4 - VS Serie '55' Corojo Perfecto (5" x 54) 4 - VS Serie '55' Maduro Perfecto (5" x 54) 4 - VS Serie '55' Sun Grown Perfecto (5" x 54) 4 - VS 10th Aniversario Perfecto (5" x 54) So, can anybody give me some opinions on these? I haven't pulled the trigger on them yet, but I am tempted...

Havn't tired those particualr sticks Rev, but the few VS I've tried in the past have gone into the "do not purchase again" category for me. They usually have pretty boxes, bold bands, and good price points, but that's about it. They just don't seem to hit any high notes for my pallet.

In my opinion there are much better smokes out there than the V.S. line around the same price. I would spend some time and look around at other options if I were you.Theres a reason they are only $35

Todd, pass on the VS. They are not you. They may not even be me.
I have a number in my humi now that are not by any means a "go-to-stick." Servicable, yes. Memorable, no. Check out Joe's Jambalaya (deal of the day) today at CI. You may find some gems in there if you hit at the right time. Tim |

They were(are) CI's weekly deal. I know I can shop around and find some deals. It isn't even like I need any cigars for the humidor. I saw them, they appeared to be interesting, and at a very agreeable price. SO, I thought to ask about them.
I will keep my money. I am not really looking, just pausing to ponder. Thanks for the responses. Peace of the Lord be with you all.

RevSmoke, I posted this short review of the Series 55 red label corojo on another site. I'd smoked this cigar before I'd had the opportunity to smoke better ones, so read it with that in mind:
Appearance: Reddish brown mottled corojo wrapper. A bit rough looking, some larger veins, and an unevenly applied cap. Well filled. Solid but easy draw; burns a bit uneven. Flavor is relatively simple, medium to full flavor profile, with a corojo tang at the core. It's hard to put my finger on the flavors that occasionally complemented the corojo-ness. Maybe it would benefit from some aging; I'll revisit someday to see. A yardgar, or small step above it. Picked up a sampler on CBid for a low price but ven at the low price, I'd suggest investing the money in something better. BlackIrish

Most VS sticks that I've tried were awful. Except the Vintage Select. You can buy a box of them for around $40.

I made the mistake of buying a sampler about two years ago; never again. Yuck.

I bought the same sampler a month or so ago. All of them were pretty tasty, the 10th Aniversario was the best IMO.
