Can get a good quality blu-ray for about 200 these days that will also upscale. PS3 does not do that - regular DVDs look like crap on it.

People enjoy different platforms for games, so there will be differences of opinions there. But PS3 does upscale and I still think it is the most versatile blu ray player out, regardless of if you play games due to its ability to play almost any file type imaginable. Sure you can get a blu ray drive in your PC and use DVI (or probably HDMI on PCs now? I use Mac) on a flat screen TV....but is just a matter of opinion
