Default Re: Honduran Tobacco

It depends on who blends it and how it is fermented/cured. The Eiroa boys (Camacho) can blend Honduran tobacco very well, so can Nestor Plasencia IMO. Honduran tobacco does have a very earthy flavor, and if it's lousy tobacco that flavor can easily go from "earthy" to "sour dirt".

Honestly, Dominican tobacco is my least favorite. Smoked a Columbian puro recently and it had potential but was way too mild.

Ooh... Intriguing!

As for Honduran leaf, I'm in the baby/bathwater crowd. Way too broad a statement for my taste. Sure, I'm probably wedded to it the least of the major producing countries, but saying it sucks, to my ears, is like saying that historical novels suck. Sure, many of 'em probably do...

Besides, sometimes I'm right in the mood for a mouthful of dirt.
