Thumbs up Casa Fuente Churchill

  • Cigar - Casa Fuente Churchill
location - Casa Fuente , Las Vegas , Nevada
    outside temp , 112 degrees F
    inside temp 75-80 degrees F
drink - 1 Casa Mojito and 2 Fat Tire beers
This was my first Casa Fuente cigar of any size . After much deliberation in the walk in humidor I selected the Churchill size . Paid my $25 and the clerk asked if I would be smoking there . Yes I will . He clipped and lit the cigar perfectly for me . I sat down with my wife and ordered a Casa Mojito(my first ever). The construction of this cigar was perfect , beautiful medium brown Cameroon wrapper , no spots or big veins . Aroma was of classic Fuente tobacco . First draw was of great tobacco and leather flavors with that classic Fuente Cameroon flavor similar to a Hemingway . This flavor lasted for the first third of the cigar . 2nd third , some nutty , caramelly flavors took over , purely decadent . Last third , a bit of spice developed with a combination of the nutty and leathery flavors , great still . The ash held really well , no flakes , ashed it 4 times the entire cigar . I liked this cigar so much that I went and bought 3 more along with 2 Corna Gordas . I would say this cigar fits the medium flavor profile towards the mild side . If your ever in Las Vegas , don't miss out on Casa Fuente , worth the trip .

But then don't forget the hostesses! Ambience is key there.

...and I would suggest trying an "Old Cuban" in a "regular" glass there, too. TASTY!
